Senior Legal Expert

We're hiring a Senior Legal Expert in Contracting & AI to translate deep commercial contracting expertise into AI-powered workflows that thousands of lawyers will use in their daily practice.

Your role as Senior Legal Expert

In this role, you shape how AI transforms commercial contracting. Working within Saga Lab, you develop expert level contracting content, use cases and workflows for our Legal AI platform. Instead of working contract by contract, you build playbooks, templates and standard positions that shape how legal professionals work with contracts globally, at scale. You operate at the intersection of legal and technology, with a track record of making contracting teams work smarter through better structure, tooling and ways of working. As the subject matter expert on contracting, you work closely with Legal Engineers who structure legal content and logic for operational use, and with software engineers who build and maintain the platform. You translate complex contracting practice into AI ready scenarios that help lawyers review faster, negotiate smarter and manage risk better, moving naturally between developing content in Saga Lab, collaborating with product teams, and enabling lawyers through Saga Amplify. One moment you are designing an AI assisted playbook for SaaS agreements, the next you are working with legal teams to embed these playbooks into their daily practice.

What you bring to our team

You're a senior contracting expert who sees the potential of AI to transform legal practice. You can break down complex contract types 
into structured workflows, decision trees and review frameworks. You care about quality, you communicate clearly, and you're excited to 
work at the intersection of law, technology and learning.

• At least 5 years of experience in complex commercial contracting, with hands on negotiation and drafting across all levels

• Track record of building structured approaches to contracting work, including playbooks, risk analysis templates and review guidelines

• Comfort using AI tools to prototype workflows, test approaches and solve legal questions

• Strong ability to translate legal expertise into clear, structured frameworks that others can follow and that AI can support

• Background in training or enabling other lawyers, or a clear interest in doing so

• Clear communication skills and fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus
