Job description
At Saga, we're building the intelligence that helps lawyers think faster, work smarter, and stay in control of their craft. Our AI platform optimises legal workflows and enables lawyers to focus on what matters the most - people, ethics, and impact.
We sit at the intersection of human expertise and machine intelligence, changing not just how lawyers work, but what they can achieve. To adopt our AI at scale, lawyers need to transform the way they work, not just learn a new tool. We're hiring an Instructional Designer to turn that transformation into tangible learning products that lawyers use.
Your role as Lead Instructional Designer
IIn this role, you make sure Saga’s product actually gets used. You sit where product, workflow and behaviour meet, and you take responsibility for turning powerful AI into something lawyers work with every day. You operate in a forward deployed way, close to clients and close to our product teams, shaping enablement and workflow changes where things either click or break. You translate complex legal and technical capabilities into clear, practical ways of working that make sense in real practice. We are building this function as we go. There is no fixed playbook yet, only real usage, real feedback and constant iteration. You move easily between thinking and doing. One day you are mapping how a legal team should change its workflow. The next you are inside the product, adjusting guidance, flows or onboarding to remove friction. Adoption is not an afterthought in this role. It is the core.
Job requirements
What you bring to our team
You are a builder first. You understand how people learn, but you think in products and workflows, not courses. You know how to design something that works and then actually build it. You can sketch a learning journey, record and edit a video, build an e learning module and sit with developers to shape in product guidance. You care about quality, but you care even more about shipping and improving based on real use.
You also bring:
Experience owning adoption, enablement or workflow change in a product, platform or professional environment
Comfort working close to a product, including shaping in product guidance, onboarding or usage flows with engineer
The ability to step into client or user environments, spot where things break and take responsibility for fixing it
A bias toward action. You build, test, ship and iterate without waiting for perfect input
Strong judgement on what to build, what to simplify and what to leave out
An understanding of how professionals change behaviour at work and how resistance shows up in practice
Clear, direct communication and the confidence to work with legal experts, product teams and clients as a peer
Fluency in English. Other languages are a plus
