Job description
At Saga, we're building the intelligence that helps lawyers think faster, work smarter, and stay in control of their craft. Our AI platform blends legal reasoning with machine precision to make complex work simpler, sharper, and more human.
Our platform is scaling quickly across Europe. Law firms rely on Saga every day through our web platform, Word and Outlook add-ins, legal research tooling, and AI workflows. As adoption grows across jurisdictions and languages, quality can no longer be reactive. Reliability, confidence, and release discipline are essential. We are hiring our first dedicated Senior QA Engineer to help build the quality foundation that scales with the product and the people who rely on it.
Your role as Senior QA Engineer
You'll join an ambitious engineering team building a multi-tenant legal AI platform used by law firms across Europe. We are remote-first, ownership-driven, and value clear communication and responsibility.
As Saga's first Senior QA Engineer, you will define and improve quality across the company. You'll own the testing strategy for our web app and Word add-in, strengthen our end-to-end test suite, improve regression coverage, and help teams ship confidently. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and customer success to prevent issues before they reach customers.
You will also:
Improve and stabilize our Cypress E2E test suite
Define testing strategy across frontend, backend, and integrations
Own release quality and regression prevention
Test critical flows across APIs, streaming systems, and Office add-ins
Design evaluation and regression strategies for AI and LLM-driven features
Create QA standards, documentation, and testing playbooks
Help build a proactive quality engineering culture
Job requirements
What you bring to our team
4+ years of experience in QA, SDET, or quality engineering, ideally including time as the first or sole QA at a previous company
Strong hands-on experience with Cypress (or Playwright with willingness to work in Cypress), API testing, and regression testing
Experience with Vitest or Jest, React Testing Library, and TypeScript
Comfort designing test and evaluation strategies for nondeterministic systems such as LLM-based features
Comfortable working in CI-first environments such as GitHub Actions
High ownership, strong attention to detail, and ability to thrive in fast-moving teams
Bonus points for:
Experience with Office and Word add-ins, multilingual or multi-jurisdiction platforms, and modern systems such as SSE streaming or vector database integrations.
Why join Saga
Your work will directly shape how confidently legal professionals use AI in their daily workflows. You will help ensure lawyers can rely on our systems for document review, legal research, drafting, and analysis without friction or uncertainty.
You will build the quality foundation for one of Europe's fastest growing AI platforms, alongside smart, driven people across engineering, legal, product, and research who care deeply about quality and impact.
We also offer:
A competitive compensation, giving you the opportunity to participate in long-term value
A real opportunity to shape the quality culture of a fast-scaling AI company
A remote-first setup with social hubs in Amsterdam and Oslo and regular in-person collaboration
Clear runway toward Lead QA as the engineering organization grows
20 paid vacation days and holiday allowance
A personal budget for conferences, courses, and certifications
The chance to work across the full cycle, from release systems to real customer impact
